what's the time mr wolf?

On Monday a package turned up at the post office and since I am at home all day Monday I rang VCH at work and asked him if he could get it.
That night he came home with said parcel and gave it to me and then wandered off to do something else.

Tuesday morning as we lay in bed talking before starting our day VCH asked me what was in the parcel, here is a transcript of our conversation.
VCH: What was in the package I brought home yesterday?
Me: Clocks
VCH: Clocks- what are you going to do with clocks?
Me: They are for my clock collection.
VCH: Clock collection do you have a clock collection
Me: Yes
VCH: Well I have never seen any clocks
Me: I have some in the hallway on the shelf as you walk into the house, and I have some small ones over there on the bookshelf  (as I point to the ones in our bedroom within his line of sight)

Tell me your husbands are as oblivious to things as mine!
So, I thought I would move them to a more obvious location.

I have put the larger alarm clocks on the sewing cabinet next to the TV in the lounge room
- hopefully he can see them now!
Although, I did point out that I moved them for his benefit, so now he has no excuse!

 They are all eBay finds,
I have never in all my scavenging ever seen any locally,
I am not sure where they are hiding or
whether the op shops just toss them because they may no longer work.

  2. They look great sitting on your sewing cabinet. My husband is equally blind to things around the home too.

  3. They are lovely!! I randomly collect things at the moment, but a specific collection like yours just makes such a beautiful display!

And yes - my husband can be completely oblivious to what's going on around our home. I have drawn lines on the wall in our entry ready to paint some stripes and he noticed after two weeks, and only when someone else asked him what they were for!

  4. Charming clock collection! I have to tell you, once my husband picked up a dish towel in the kitchen and said, "Oh,did you buy new towels?" We had had them for ten
    years :)

  6. Yes, my husband is the same with not seeing things. I wore a pair of sandals the other day which he thought were new. They are 3 years old. They sit in his sight line on the open shoe shelves when not on my feet. He was quite suspicious and didn't completely believe me!! Love your clock collection, very quirky xx
