fathers day 2011

This year for Father's Day we took very clever husband on a picnic after church.
We decided to go back to the creek where the family took me for a Mother's Day picnic back in 2010.

 Playing in the water.

We drove just up the road from where we stopped last time and had our picnic near this bridge.

There was a lot more water in the creek than when we were here before

The kids thought to pack boogie boards and had fun floating down the creek, especially the biggest kid pictured here!

It was too cold for me, but the rest of them had fun.

  1. Looks like you all had a lovely time, although I would have thought it still a bit cool for swimming (I bet you didn't go in). Love the photos of the children and VCH on the bridge together.

  3. Your pictures are lovely bring back many memories of my own childhood in a similar creek/river, along with inner tubes..great to see a dad having fun with the kids.. Personally I think as mums we often spend too much time watching the fun.
I need to get in and enjoy life more, I am the one always standing on the side lines.
thank you for sharing this post.
    I love your blog.
