Last year I did some posts on natural beauty and using easy to find natural products.
I had meant at the time to share what I use on my face.
After my shower I spray my face with some witch hazel, which is a couple of dollars at the supermarket, this is my toner.
Then in Winter I use an organic olive oil and in Summer I use organic coconut oil as my moisturiser.
The reason that I change is that in Summer coconut oil is liquid and as the weather cools it becomes solid- as you can see in the photo, it is white, when it is liquid it is clear, I also like the feel of the more heavier olive oil in winter.
I just pop it into a little pump bottle.
I got a little packet of these at the supermarket with several different bottles that they sell for travel purposes.
I use the oil on my legs, arms, hands any parts of my skin that feels dry.

There are other pure oils you can use as well.
I have in the past used sweet almond oil, but I have seen jojoba, emu and apricot kernel oil all listed as possibilities.
These are all relatively inexpensive and work well, why not try and see what you and your skin likes best?
Very interesting. I buy Clinique products, but it does get expensive. I will look into your natural ideas. Thanks for sharing! Lisa~
ReplyDeleteI use organic coconut oil as a moisturizer year round. I keep it in the fridge in the summer. I use to use witch hazel as well, but I haven't used it in years! I even use olive oil on my feet, works wonders...Marcia
