three years ago last monday...

Three years ago last Monday...
I meant to do a post when I realised on the weekend that it was 3 years ago that I sat down at my computer and started mucking around and ended up with a blog.
But my mind wanders and I forgot about it in all the excitement of my holiday projects - many of which I am still to post about.

So anyway three years ago on Monday 9th July, 2009 I started this blog.
I had been debating in my head for some time whether or not to start one and had been tossing around names and then I just did it.

I had to ask my lovely IRL friend Erin to come over and show me how to upload pictures and work out a few of the other details, but mostly I have just stumbled along doing my own thing and posting stuff that I am into at that particular moment.

It may not be an earth shattering blog but it is mine and I like looking back at all the stuff I have done, VCH has done and our family adventures over the last three years- which was why I started my blog in the first place- to record our life as a family, which is also why I named it five brothers one sister in the first place after our beloved children.

Today when I looked at my blog mainly to catch up with my blog reading I found that I now have 150 followers- how exciting! I know that is probably not a lot in the world of blogs with 5000 followers but it has been a slow and steady climb- sometimes in spits and spurts and I am grateful to those who like to read my blog and then take time to comment.

I have met (in cyberspace) many wonderful people and I love seeing what they are up to in their daily lives.
I have been inspired by so many people, so many projects and so many ideas that are floating around blogland.

So thank you all my loyal followers and friends - here's to three years of blogging!

PS The photos are my blog headings over the last 3 years
