Just a quick post on how the wall in my sewing room is coming along.
It's a little different from last week,
when I showed you my clock.
I ended up painting the letters,
I was debating about covering them with fabric but in the end I decided that they might end up getting lost in amongst all the patterns or it all looking a bit too much so decided to just paint them instead.
I chose red because the main colours I am working with are pink, aqua and red and
as I painted the chairs aqua and pink I thought it would even it up a bit if I used the red and as most of the fabrics on display have a bit of red in them that it would work.
I have added a couple of more hoops and I am really liking the look!
What do you think?
I think you made the right decision to paint the letters. They look really pretty and stand out like they are now. A pattern would have been too much. Your style is very pretty, and I love seeing all your cute decor. Thanks for linking up to Your Cozy Home Party!

What a cute idea :)
ReplyDeletewow! this is too cute- love the fabric hoops and the clock. I never would have thought to recover a clock face with fabric.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog- I have a thing for maps, too!
So glad you joined us at Cowgirl Up! this week. Love your sewing room decor- I am a fan of embroidery hoops and fabric.

Looking good Deanne. The hoops enhance the clock, making a wall feature of it.
ReplyDeleteNice, I like the way the clock is in a different shade to the hoops, makes it stand out more. I do particularly like your painted chairs though. Would I be a good friend or a bad friend if I told you that it looks like your 'E' was upside down? I don't know how you have time to do all these crafty things. I'm flat out just trying to keep up with the non-negotiables.

Thanks, The E looked wrong the other way too- I tried both! But I will look into it.
DeleteI do lots in the school holidays, and I have big kids that help with the household chores that frees me up too!
That looks great with all the patterns and colors! Cute!
ReplyDeleteI would love if you stopped by my party to link it up - I would love to see you there!
