the party....setting the scene

I just thought I would share a post on the delightful party today.
Everything went off really well!
I wanted to share a few of the details starting with our party area.

We hung bunting from the trees along with some pink and blue lanterns,
This photo was taken while we were still finalising the set up.

Here is where the mothers sat and chatted while the party was happening,
it was shady at the time, I took this after.

Looking back towards the food table, it was set off to the side due to needing a flat area and under a branch of the tree so I could hang a mosquito net to protect the food - an essential in an Australian summer.

This is the food table with the mosquito net.

We set up this table with some pencils, paper and foam flower stickers for the little girls to create with when they first arrived, the mat was put underneath because after weeks of rain the ground is still a little soggy.

 The table set and waiting.
Mixed matched teacups and saucers from my collection, the tablecloth is a piece of fabric, the napkins are hankies.

The drinks' trolley, with cute little bottles and straws I bought from here, with some cups for the mums.

The party hats that were inspired by these and made largely by VCH and B4.

Flowers and a watering can on the table and polka dot table runner.

The bunting which came from The Girl's bedroom.

Next week I'll share with you the food, the cake and the actual party!
