vintage tea

This week we are using my mother's teacups for tea.

It has an unusual squarish bread and butter plate.

We are of course on the veranda.

Some pink roses in vintage bottles

My mother's tea pot and milk jug, she lost the sugar bowl but I substituted a Royal Doulton one a friend gave me for an engagement present.

A silver tray with yummy Belgian Chocolate biscuits.

 These are the scrummiest biscuits!

Thank you for stopping by for an old fashioned morning tea.

  1. Looks lovely Deanne. Do you and some of the children share morning tea at this table after the photos? Just curious.

  5. Having tea in the veranda is the best thing I know. Unfortunately, can't do this time of the year.

    Your setting is absolutely pretty.

    Happy TS Day,

  7. Absolutely lovely. I truly love the bottles with the roses in them. I too have a coffee pot, creamer and no sugar. Your dishes are beautiful.

  9. What a lovely and unusual shape for the teacup and the little plate! I know you treasure them, especially because they were your mother's. I love the roses all lined up down the table -- very pretty!

  10. I could spend the day at your table on the porch...absolutely wonderful! I love the vintage bottle proudly marching down the table, each holding high its lovely rose. Your mama's china cups are beautiful! Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
