I bought this top a few months ago at "Grandma's Op Shop" (no grandma doesn't own an op shop, but -my MIL volunteers at one hence the name). I bought it for a winter jumper because I liked the colours, the problem was the neckline, it wasn't me and it doesn't suit my body shape.
It is a knit so I was unsure what to do with it, but in the end I decided it didn't matter because I wasn't wearing it so I may as well see if I could rescue it. So I very carefully cut it straight up the middle between the knit.
I was glad it didn't unravel!
Then I cut a little buttonhole where it sits just below my bust-line and put on a button out of my stash.
I think it took longer to pick the button than it did to fix my top into a little cardigan type thing.
Now I can wear it and feel great in it.
What a shame spring is here and it will soon be too hot to wear it!
