Isn't this just magic!
I love how this piece turned out.
This is what it looked like just before I started painting it.
But in actual fact it didn't look like this when we first got it.
The wood where the leg attaches was broken and it was laying upside down on top of a desk that I was interested in buying,
The guy talked me into it dropping the price to $2.
VCH fixed the legs having to make new housing for both sets.
The drawer knobs were a pain because they were glued into the drawer front, so we had to cut them off and then sand and fill and sand to get a smooth finish on the front.
As soon as I got her home I knew she would look stunning in black
with crystal drawer knobs.
I painted the drawers white, and edged the top in black and then we added some pretty paper to the inside to jazz it up a bit.
For the photo I grabbed a white doily, so I didn't scratch the top, and put on these cute prints from my vintage graphic prints range.
She sold at the markets on Saturday and has gone to her new home.
I have another market on Saturday and that will be it for "redeemed" for the year.
It has been fun doing these one off markets but I think I need to find a regular gig for next year, at least until soccer season starts!
I did very well on Saturday, so this week I will be busy finishing some more pieces ready for Saturday.
I will be back with a sparkly wine glass tutorial later in the week.
Don't forget my give-away will be drawn Thursday.
