aqua stripes

I seem to have a slight obsession with aqua at the moment. 

I am just loving it as an accent colour.

I thought I would show you what I did with two of the chairs I found on the side of the road at council clean up time.

I simply painted them over white, then added a stripe in aqua.

I love the fresh beachy feel of these.

I paired them with this table and wondering if it might benefit from some white and aqua love.

I thought I would quickly add a couple of things to the table to dress it.

I grabbed this little embroidered table cloth that belonged to my grandmother.

A pot of violettas, and some violet tea cups and some cute cup cakes.

 I have been experimenting with icing using a piping bag. 

I have always shied away from piping bags, because every attempt I made ended in failure. 

Then I went to a cup cake night at our sister church and found out how easy it actually is to pipe.

So I made carrot cupcakes (white icing), vanilla cupcakes (pink icing) and chocolate cupcakes.

I was very pleased with how they turned out.

 My pot of violettas, I have these planted all around my yard at the moment.

Miss Maggie thought she should come and check out what was going on!
