It was too beautiful a spring day to spend it indoors so B4, B5 and The Girl took themselves outside to do school in the beautiful sunshine.
This will only be for a few short weeks and then it will all too quickly get too hot to be outside even in the morning.
Here they are creating a board game.
Yesterday B4 discovered a game that he had made for B2 for his 11th birthday 3 years ago, so today he decided to make another version of it with B5 and The Girl.
They did actually come in and finish their actual school work after they had played a few rounds of the game.

I love the days when they are being actively creative, two of my youngest children were busy making mail boxes out recycled materials complete with stands today then writing messages back and forward to each other. I then asked them to help each other to write a story each adding a sentence or two.. I think this is the type of learning that is the best. it is sad to interrupt this type of spontaneous creativity, as long
ReplyDeleteFunny round world. I can never get over the fact that it is Spring in your part of the world, while we are heading into Fall. But it seems we had the same kind of day, sunny but not to warm. Love those days.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds wonderful!!! I bet the kids really enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Projects like that really foster critical thinking and let the imagination and inventiveness of the child come into play. andrea @ townandprairie
