We were able to spend some time over the weekend working on a few projects around the yard.
VCH with some help has started cementing along the back of the house, this has been on my wish list for some time and with the new pool arriving in a couple of weeks, I suggested we get some of these jobs done before hand while we had the time.
It started to rain while they were working so a tarp was quickly erected.
So far, this is where we ran out of sand and gravel mix (the ute can only take 1/2 ton at a time).
Replaced these broken pots with some new ones.
B4,
B5,
and The Girl helped me.
This is part of a whole other project, but that will be showcased in a separate post.
Moved the chalkboard from the side veranda to the front veranda where their play area is.
We spray painted our mail box red.
Repurposed plastic drum by previous owner.
We planted a wattle tree in remembrance of my mum whose birthday was on the 1st August.
This is the first birthday without her.
The 1st of August has traditionally been known as Wattle Day in Australia, but they changed Wattle Day to the 1st September in 1992.
Wattle is Australia's national floral emblem.
B2 digging the hole.
The Girl planting it.
B4 watering it.
B3 and B5 putting the tyre to protect it down.
Happy Birthday Nanna, we miss you.
Wow, what a productive weekend you have all had! Must feel good to have made so much progress.
