See that little tree, the one next to the sad looking grevillia
It was here when we bought this house 12 years ago.
We thought it was a Jacaranda,
but over the years it hardly grew and never flowered,
so we came to the conclusion that it must have been something else.
Until I was driving out the driveway the other day and noticed this.
The trunk was broken off in a storm last year and we tried to pull it out and couldn't so left it there.
For whatever reason one of the new shoots decided to flower.
A truly delightful discovery!
Wonderful. And in a place where there is room for it to grow, unlike the self-seeded one we had in our town yard.
ReplyDeleteYes it has plenty of room but I think the other trees may have been crowding it which is why it has never grown well, I think the grevillia beside it needs to go, so maybe then it will have more sunshine and will grow better.
DeleteNature is truly amazing.
