easy entertaining project

I thought I would share a little project I did to help with our summer/ holiday entertaining.

I saw this on pinterest.

I liked the idea of using some terracotta pots to hold cutlery when entertaining a crowd.

So I went out and bought some pots at Bunnings, they were only a couple of dollars each and then I simply painted the rim with some chalkboard paint.
I labelled them with a chalk pen - so simple, so easy and I think they look cool.

I simply popped in a cloth napkin and then put in the cutlery.
With three big events in the next few weeks happening here they should see some use.

  1. What a great idea. I love the chalkboard paint on the rim. You could use these for so many things!

  2. They look great Deanne, and as you say will be very useful over the next little while. Great work.

I can imagine they'll be used for plants or another household project next year.

  3. This would look great on an informal table! I always keep my cutlery in pots hanging above my kitchen bench... love the ease of the grab and go!
