Here is a close-up of the garden bench that VCH made a few years ago out of old fence palings.
I often use it as the background of photo shoots for family photos or even my blog.
I had seen a similar one in a home magazine and immediately fell in love with it.
We pulled down a fence and so I set VCH to the task of making me one.
He did, with the above being the result.

I then got him to make me a single one as well.
I think it looks a bit like a throne.
I often have a pot with plants sitting on it and this looks nice.
